EPISODE 148: Eddie M – My Trip To The Sky EP (Bonzai Elemental)

Born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, and now based in the capital of Santa Catarina, Florianopolis, DJ and producer Eddie M began playing professionally in 2007. With a background in musical instruments and a passion for electronic music, the work of Eddie quickly drew the attention at the scene of Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul), one of the most traditional in Brazil.

After a long DJ career that took him to many places like Jimbaran, Madras, Cozumel and Cafe De La Musique he is now a resident of the 688 Club (Porto Alegre). Being very charismatic and with the great ability to identify the needs of the dance-floor crowd, it did not take long before Eddie broke the boundaries of his home state and moved on to new challenges. Clubs established in Brazil as the Green Valley and Santa Catarina Warung, the Pacha Sao Paulo and Rio Nuth were some of the locations where Eddie showed his ability. He also became a regular at major events such as Planeta Atlantida and Tribe as he was always very comfortable with large audiences. In addition, Eddie M has also performed at the famous Club Avalon Hollywood located in the United States and recently played the best New Year’s Eve in Punta del Este in Uruguay with Sharam and Miss Nine.

The innovative character of Eddie motivated him in 2009 to start producing. After a lot of commitment and devotion to learn how to produce music by himself, 2010 saw the birth of his first tracks. In less than a year Eddie has released five songs. The track “Rain From The Suite 902” which was produced in partnership with Argentine BONG, stayed for several weeks on the list of 100 most downloaded songs of its kind on the Beatport site. In 2011 the track “Midnight Blue” and its remix by Miss Nine – both released by the label 925 Digital – were also well received and integrated into many DJ-sets and charts.

The only explanations for such a fast uprise of a newcomer are: Talent, determination and a relentless passion for great music. Eddie M combines them perfectly and with him the future of Brazilian electronic music is surely guarantied and in good hands.

EPISODE 150: Junk Deluxe – Night In The Congo (Bonzai Basiks)

Emmanuel Benami:

Born in 1983, Israel, and started producing music at the age of 10 (since 1993-today) making my first steps at the underground plant-traxxx website until I was ranked number 1 and discovered by German labels.
My first release was a remix for the G&M Project – Dreaming About Paprica 2003 – along with Dave Joy and 2 Players. Subsequent to my first release my first single vinyl was followed under the – Informers – alias signing the – The Dawn of Mankind- , which scored 5/5 at both DJ-Mag and IDJ-Mag and was supported by top DJs such as: Marcel Woods, Cosmic Gate, SHOKK, Mat Silver, Tony Burt, and many more.
After several more releases the alias Coldware was founded and got massive support to its first single – Fusion – from well known DJs (Marco V, Benjamin Bates, Above & Beyond, Johan Gielen and more). – Fusion – was followed by another great hit that was played in clubs all over the world getting support from Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Marcel Woods, Marco V., M.I.K.E and many more.
In 2007 I have remixed (then and true to 2010) Armin Van Buuren all-time club theme -Communication – that was released in Armind (label distributed by Sony BMGH) and ranked number one in sales on Beatport and charts all over the world.
Throughout this time I have been spinning in the major clubs in Israel and abroad (including Dome, Ha Oman 17 Jerusalem, Zoom, the old Pacha Israel, Octopus, TLV, and others). I spin various styles; from House music to Tech-Trance, Electro and Breakbeats and I am always inspired by the crowed; thus I am always playing the music the crowed de- sires to hear. Currently I am playing in Hong Kong, mainly at Drop.
By the end of 2007 I have moved to Hong Kong and continued producing mainly under the Emmanuel B. alias.
Currently (2010), together with Janva and Natalie Hardoon, I have formed a new group named Junk Deluxe. We are in the process of working of a new EP and new singles to be released in the coming months.
In addition, all my tracks were highly exposed throughout major radio stations around the world including: BBC Radio 1, ID&T – Slam FM, D-I (Digitally Imported), ASOT – A State of Trance, and many more.

From Hong Kong to New York, London, Italy, Indonesia, China, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Macau, Guam and many more were destinations Janva has been blasting the crowds with house, break beats, electro, and tech-house vibes. – Its not about the music style, its all about the people. I make them move –

Nevertheless, Janva enthusiasm for music did not stop there. Throughout the years Janva has been sponsored by numerous famous brands that kept on bringing him back to dance floor.

produced and released a few EPs worldwide during these years.
