Bjoern Small is back! Bjoern debuted on our label Musashi way back in2004 with “The Theory” and since then he was consistently churning out quality work. After multiple releases he showed his album “A Sense Of Occasion” in 2008 which was very well received indeed. After that he saw releases on Green Martian and he also remixed one of Bonzai Basiks first cuts on Funky Harry & Kris Voog’s track “Never Never Land”. This track “Mangue” is a welcome sight from such a talented artist.

The Original Mix is a true deep tech bomb with a huge double bass plucking out the notes with a jazzy twist. Tight kicks and top notch percussions set up the rhythm perfectly and create a solid groove. On the break lots of instruments combine with the slightest hint of melody coming through the maelstrom of sound. Expert craftsmanship here with the finer details becoming more apparent as the track progresses.

The “Stay At Home And Chill Dub Mix” is a much more rounded track with warmer sounds adding a certain richness to the groove. Cool clubby vibe here and a track that would be the perfect addition to any deep set. Keep an ear out for more from this guy in the near future.
