“Yellow Edge” is a three track debut release on Eyepatch for Japanese DJ and house music producer Yusuke Yamamoto. He runs his own label Vacances Records and has seen releases on many other labels including Oasi Lab, Houseworx, City Life, Ibiza House Hotspot and more. His tracks are supported by a lot of big DJs including Luciano, Claude VonStroke, D’julz, Anthony Collins and Moodymanc to name a few. He brings a fresh approach to house and this is manifested within this superb pack and we love the sound so much we will also be releasing this onto good old 12″ vinyl which will be a welcome addition to any DJ’s box.

The title track kicks us off with a cool rhythmic vibe through a well crafted drum and percussion arrangement. The hats, combined with subtle bongos bring the track to life early on before a wonderfully deep bassline takes the centre stage. Deep rooted chord synths fade in taking the track well into the depths of house music. A classic styled simple vocal sample adds a big punch to this while higher pitched strings ease the track along.

“Noir” is up next and again we see an intro that gets right into a rhythmic flow from the off through a brilliant mixture of kicks and percussions. Deep synth chords soon follow and we are set on a head on collision with more quality deep house grooves. Yusuke uses vocals samples very well which adds a certain retro richness to the vibe. An infectious groove fit for any deep set.

“Olene” rounds up this release in style with a bit more pace in the groove. The arrangements on the drums and percussions are top class yet again and the deep bassline pulsates and throbs enough to the asses shakin’. Some brighter synth moments with a little bit of melody thrown in are coupled with stabs of brass instruments and strings. The vocal samples ooze class and sums up the track quite well overall.

Another top notch exclusive Eyepatch release which will be a must for those deeper sets.
