Australian producer Audio Noir has been rather busy on the remix front lately, but he has also been working on his own material. ‘NY Xpress’ is his latest incarnation and comes backed with a slew of top class remixes.

The Original Mix intros with a cool chunky kick and metallic percussion combination which leads the rhythms smoothly. A subtle yet very effective bassline sits back and gels the vibe together beautifully before it explodes into a full on groovy progressive workout. One big feature here is a simple synth riff that dominates throughout with huge impact on the sound. Top stuff yet again from down under!

First up to the remix plate we have Sector 7 aka Mike Dierickx. Mike as usual is very busy indeed with his Club Elite Sessions, remixing, producing and DJing around the world. Here he takes us on a tour of progressive charged tech vibes, the intro leads nicely into a tough edged bass sound that transforms its way through the track creating contrasting textures. Cool synths wait in the wings and on the break they burst forth delivering a stunning tech twist to the track, superb stuff.

Belgian DJ and producer Nico Parisi is our next remix artist. Nico is currently working on new material and is dusting off the retro after his superb set at Bonzai Retro 2013. His latest track ‘Caress’ is very well received and we are sure to see more from this guy soon. His remix sets off on a cool flowing progressive journey right from the get go as a chunky kick sets the scene alongside a droning bass sound. Sweeping FX add textures and percussive elements fade through. On the break the deep resonating bass comes to prominence with a cool vocal sample thrown in. Fantastic darkly vibes which will sit perfectly in many sets.

Fresh off the back of his last release ‘Spirit’, alongside fellow producer Dafar, Jonny Calypso is up next on the remix. Jonny’s mix intros with well rounded chunky kicks with sharp, crisp percussions. A surreal pad lurks in the depths as a wonderful bass begins to rise. The break becomes a respite to the darker sounds with a percussion led groove and strange FX filtering through before slamming back down into dark prog territory, brilliant stuff.

Lloyd Trimmer aka Cordoba delivers his own round of prog beats. UK based Lloyd seen his debut remix on BP on the Mindgamers track ‘The Crown’ which seen top reviews from all quarters. The remix here intros with well crafted percussive instruments alongside cool FX. A truly deep and intense bass grips the sound and dominates the track with gusto. The drum section is well crafted and keeps the rhythms flowing as a hypnotic synth note joins in. Massive bass led track that will feature in many playlists for sure.
