Jonathan Calvo

Spanish DJ and producer Jonathan Calvo has been around the scene for twenty years. He has been influenced by 80s and 90s musical styles and in the early 2000s he started to play in several clubs, discos and after hours parties around Barcelona and Girona.

His cool and dynamic style has led him to be a much respected name among national and international DJ’s. He has played with DJ’s such as Oxia, Cristian Varela, Javi Munoz, Oscar Mulero, Xavi Beat, Nuria Ghia, David Penn, David Moreno of Ibiza Global Radio, Valentino Kanzyani and Umek. Venues and events include Supernova party, Super Putas, Meeting DJ’s and Silicone Soul with Monsters of Ibiza.

In his role as a music producer, he has several releases on different labels around the world including Bonzai Basiks, Bonzai Progressive, Lapsus Music, Circus Night Records, Bedroom Muzik, Ambiosphere Recordings, New Era Recordings and White Island Recordings to name just a few. His tracks have also featured on many compilations such as Bonzai Progressive’s Club Traxx Dark and Deep and WMC Miami 2014.
With Bonzai Basiks his 2013 release The Instructor gained a lot of support from many jocks as did the 2014 follow-up Traumatizer. Much more to come from Jonathan in 2015 so well worth keeping an eye on.
