Zeo debuts on Eyepatch with Cycle EP, and has the enviable job of offering a bit of a revival for the label as we haven’t had much activity since July 2014, and he definitely delivers the goods in style. Five intros with deep house grooves in mind as stabbing chords are met with a probing bass and crispy hats. You find yourself locked in for the duration as your mind is explored by that probing bass which is joined by a mesmerising pad that hangs in the air beautifully. A real solid slice here that will get the floors moving for sure.
Wave sets out with a huge punchy kick that pounds deep and is accompanied by a panning bass sound and wispy voices. Darker, more gritty sounds appear that belong in the depths yet offer a hypnotic appeal to the track. A much more structured bass line is revealed and we are on course for a superb trek deep into the house sound. Exotic keys rattle subtly over the sound and contrast perfectly with the deeper elements. Top notch tuff indeed you will not want to miss.
Drills delivers another fine slice of deep house grooves and rounds up this superb trio sounds. Big chunky kicks provide the intro as cool drums are scattered around. A smooth rhythmic flow is born out of shuffling hats and sharp claps with a little help from expertly placed FX. Rich pads and strings float across the groove and a superb display of synth work leaves the imagination running wild. The bass line gets a beef up and churns out a solid groove for the duration making this a definite go to tool for any deeper sets.
Daniel Ray notches up his fifth Eyepatch release with this superb two tracker entitled Keeping On. Last time out, Daniel furnished us with the deep and techy vibes of Mirrors which saw great support across the board. Keeping On gets into a deep groove right from the off with a groovelicious bass chord arrangement that fills the sound beautifully. Tight drums and cool crispy hats get the rhythm flowing nicely as the deep vibes continue to rise. A sense of melancholy prevails from the poignant strings on offer as the dirtier side of tech is just about suppressed within this solid groover, Top notch stuff that will not go unnoticed, a must have.
The Bright Side intros with a nice punchy kick and hat combi alongside soft pads and beautiful deep chords. Big stabby chords burst through and are joined by a reverberating bass that just hangs in the air, lingering on and on adding to the surreal vibe. Sweet melancholic keys contrast perfectly and cut through the lower frequencies to reveal a brighter sound. A super smooth ride into deep house grooves you will not want to miss out on.

Clock Tower sets out with a tough kick alongside sharp, crispy hats and a tight drum arrangement. A swirling chord rises up and is soon joined by a throbbing bass that dominates the sound beautifully. The bass is accompanied by a real cool analogue sound that brings true depth to the groove. The tight drums bring the rhythm that will get the floors moving for sure. As the layers build we get drawn into a much more raw sound with the addition of gritty synths and keys. Top notch stuff you will not want to miss, a must have.
Johnny Deep returns to Eyepatch with the delicious four tracker, Flowting Up, and he enlists the talented Pierre Lusthilia on two of the tracks which is a real treat. It was back in mid 2014 that we last saw him with Down The Road and since then his tracks have been gracing many compilations and DJ sets. Johnny remains firmly rooted at the centre of the Israeli electronic music scene as he continues to dish out top quality cuts. As always we are delighted with his latest offering and we know you will be too.
First up we have the sultry smooth deep house grooves of Flowting Up. We get drawn right into those deep grooves from the off as soft strings are matched against a strong punchy kick drum that dominates the sound. Subtle percussions form up and provide an ample rhythm to the track as a penetrating pulsing bass hypnotizes the mind. A real sultry affair that will make you sway the night away.
Next up we have I Luv You To The Bone with Pierre Lusthilia. The intro boasts a superb display of drum arrangement as various slapped drums pair up with a cool punchy kick as a probing bass eases its way through the sound. Classic house chord stabs lurk in the distance before fading through to become the lead element. The track gathers pace as a cool vocal comes in alongside various percussions. On the break those house chords make their presence felt with a hefty dose of awesome filters. Top notch stuff that will get the floors moving for sure.
Until You Love Me intros with a simple hat and vocal combi before being joined by a well rounded kick drum that gets the groove moving nicely. A lazy analog styled bass meanders through the sound as various other vocals are introduced. The rhythm picks up as the percussions build, creating a smooth, grooving deep house sound. Warm keys add a wonderful texture and are contrasted by a much sharper plucked sound later on. A definite late night mover here you will not want to miss.
Rounding off this great pack we have Com’on Move with Pierre Lusthilia. Cool crispy hats bring the track to life and sets the rhythm up nicely for the duration. Nice big chunky kicks join in as the bass finds its way through with its pulsing groove. Deep House flavours ooze out of the sound through the superb keys that work effortlessly alongside the bass. A big feature here is the varying vocals which adds a seamless flow to the rhythm and gives off a kind of oldskool garage vibe. Another superb cut from this duo.
Son Of Gabriela debuts on Eyepatch with this two track deep stomper entitled Just Be EP. Son Of Gabriela is the new moniker of Solartoff who has provided some top quality work on Eyepatch as well as superb remixes of various artists including Van Czar. He has also appeared on two of our compilations, Deep Worx 10 and My House Is Your House 10. No doubt we are in for a real treat with this new project and we hope to see more soon.
First up is the Analog Tape Vocal Mix of the outstanding Instantly. The intro features a beautifully constructed drum and percussion sequence that gets the deep vibes flowing nicely and is complimented by a soft kick that brings out the groovy rhythms. Intricate synth patterns caress the sound with warm tones and keep with the almost laidback nature of the track. An outstanding sultry female vocal runs throughout the track and becomes the main focus as the narrative unfolds giving the track a great character. Top notch stuff that is most definitely not to be missed.
The Sun intros with a warm synth pad that lulls you into its embrace with the help of a subtle percussion arrangement. Throbbing basses soon follow and takes us deep into the groove as sharp chord stabs litter the midrange. The track picks up a groovy persona with the introduction of various riffs on the keys while higher pitched strings float across the sound. A definite late night groover here that is the perfect tonic to wash away a hard days work.

Rion Oidua makes his full Eyepatch debut with the wonderful Electronic Lover which comes backed up with two fantastic remixes. Rion has been a regular contributor to many releases under the Bonzai umbrella. His last outing was a remix on Mindgamers’ You Know Why and before that he has seen his work put out on Bonzai Progressive, Bonzai Basiks and Eyepatch Recordings with remixes for Tribal Warriors, Zolex and John Manning. We’re delighted to see his original works make the cut and hope to see a lot more in the future.
First up we have the Original Mix of Electronic Lover. The intro gets us moving with a cool punchy kick alongside a complex network of percussions as a sensual moaning vocal sets the mood. A deep gritty bass soon follows and gives off a very cool deep tech vibe. Deep chords rise up in the background and provide a smooth house groove to the sound as those sensual vocals continue. A true deep vibe that contains all the right ingredients for a dancefloor monster, a definite must have.
The Erotic Dub is a replica of the original mix but strips away the spoken vocal and leaves us with a sublime erotic fuelled tech house monster. Perfect fodder for those late night parties to get you right into the mood.
Tali Freaks is back on remix duty after his last outing Buridda which also featured Matteo Borghi was very well received. Here he sets out with a very cool intro as smooth chords sweep through alongside a simple percussion hit and cool vocals. The rhythms form up behind crispy hats and sharp claps as the outstanding bassline starts to fade in with the help of some erotic moaning. Big punchy kicks really set the track on its course as that superb bassline gets the groove into full on mode. Tight drum and percussion arrangements are expertly crafted to keep the feet moving. Many more layers continue to build as some funky one shot hits are introduced to create a brilliantly intricate pattern of sounds. A proper master class in house that you will not want to miss.
Tali Freaks teams up with Matteo Borghi on Eyepatch with the wonderful Buridda which comes in Original, Dub and Instrumental flavours. Tali Freaks’ last outing Set The Sun garnered lots of support and we have no doubt this cut will follow suit.
The Original Mix takes deep techy house to new heights with wonderfully soulful licks throughout the sound. Big chunky kicks get the toes tapping as the shuffling percussions start to build. A fantastic bassline takes over and will definitely get your dancing feet moving with its upbeat patterns. The tight drum arrangements are expertly crafted with classy snare hits being most prominent. A massive feature here is the diverse vocals that really get the juices flowing. A mixture of soul style vocals are met with gritty sequences that blend so perfectly together. This track is a definite must with its catchy grooves and funky vibes, top notch stuff.
The Dub Mix strips out much of the brighter elements and leaves us with a relentless drive through deep techy house. That wonderful bassline just dances through the sound beautifully and will make you move with its funky grooves. In contrast to the deeper shades we get a subtle melodic flow on the break and beyond. A little bit of vocal is thrown in to mix things up making this a track that will turn a few heads for sure.
The Instrumental is just exactly that, the vocal is stripped out and leaves behind a cool driving track that would grace any set with style. Just like the original the track flows beautifully the only difference is the vocal is left out. Top notch stuff that would do well in any deep set.
Daniel returns to Eyepatch with this deep melancholic two tracker entitled A Numbers Game. His last outing was way back in March with Water Tunnel on Eyepatched Volume 4 and no doubt we will be in for a real treat yet again.
