Russian producer EmLab delivers his next Green Martian outing with the two tracker Carnatic EP. We last saw him with his debut track Sirenes and more recently on remix duties for Onz!e’s This Is Dream.
First up we have the title track Carnatic with its nice punchy kick led intro with subtle percussive elements in the background. Cool rising FX take us into a bass arp with hair raising note changes as melodies sweep across the sound. The break unleashes a beautifully serene setting as wispy pads ebb and flow. A wonderfully rich plucked melody captivates as it leads us back into that infectious bassline. Top quality stuff yet again that will have you hooked throughout.
Lip Service sets off with a cool low end kick that gets you right in the gut as percussions ease their way into the sound. A short break brings with it a smooth droning bass that meanders through the groove as sharp synth hits rise and fall. A nice steady groove is born and takes us to the break where a slightly darker tone is adopted. Deep bass synths are contrasted with brighter pads resulting in a melancholic flavour. Superb FX bring lots of different textures before getting back to the main track to continue our journey through this wonderfully hypnotic slice of progressive bliss.
Canadian DJ and producer Onez!e debuts on Green Martian with his superb ‘This Is Dream’ which is complimented by two superb remixes. He started producing music since early 2012 and has already been signed music to industry standard labels, showcased on radio shows, and played live in clubs across the world. He has discovered a captivating, non-commercial sound, a mixture of Progressive, Techno, and House music which makes for exciting listening that will no doubt appeal to many.
The Original mix intros with a subtle percussive element that intensifies and leads up to a nice punchy kick as a sweet pad forms in the background. The soon comes through and adds a huge depth to the sound which works so well. Sweeping melodies materialise resulting in a fluent smooth groove that hypnotises the mind. The break unleashes a swathe of melody along with a very cool vocal that works to intensify the hypnotic groove. Fantastic debut and one to watch!

Beautifully layered sounds combine well and the drum section adds a flowing rhythm. On the break a myriad of melodies produce a dreamy atmosphere as the sublime spoken vocal gets into your very soul. The track kicks back with a surprising gritty synth line that adds a cool twist to the sound. A definite must for those uplifting progressive sets!
Horizons aka DJ Shy delivers his stunning Horizons Sunset Remix. Smooth intro with layered pads creating an ethereal vibe as the vocal comes through adding a nice touch. A superb melodic arp finds its way into the track as phat kicks and well crafted percussions build up the rhythms. The bass sits perfectly on the lower end and soon becomes a true force within the sound as it performs its magic. On the break the track really takes off as the melodies intensify before slamming right back into a full on uplifting progressive stomper. A must have for any box and an absolute joy to listen to.

The Original Mix provides a smooth melodic intro as a rising synth fades through alongside a nice chunky kick and cool percussions. The track bursts into a wonderful driving prog house stomper as a deep bass pulsates through the grooves. The melodies evolve beautifully in tandem with the bass and dominate the break while a sharp guitar sequence takes shape. These sounds blend so well together resulting in a rich tapestry of sounds that would sit well in any set, top class stuff.
The very popular Jimmy Galle steps up for remix duty and delivers a stunning slice of tech fuelled, prog house vibes. The intro boasts a tight drum arrangement with big, phat kicks and crispy clear percussions. A resonating deep bass shores up the rear and morphs its shape occasionally. Very subtle melodies sit back creating surreal atmospheres as the beats take control and stave the way for some very cool FX which works wonders on the sound, superb!
Delphi returns to Green Martian after his well received debut ‘Mariana Trench’ with a stunning energetic workout on the remix. Nice and smooth pads ebb and flow on the intro before a huge kick slams in forcing you to react. The energy levels rise as a massive offset bass gets the track into full on mode. Throughout the track a wonderful, almost metallic sounding riff gets a lot of attention while on the main break some sweet melodies sit back and tease before being unleashed creating an uplifting vibe. One to watch here and a definite must in any box.
